Job Description
This position will be filled in the summer of 2014. The successful candidate will assist the HR organization. Responsibilities may include special projects and assignments in the areas of recruiting and retention, employee relations, talent management, benefits, compensation or other areas of human resources.

Applicants must be a student seeking a Bachelors, Masters, or MBA in business, human resources, or related field. In order to be considered, candidates must submit their resume online with the following education information: major, graduation date, and most current cumulative GPA. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and be a U.S. person. It is also helpful if you indicate if you are seeking full time or internship opportunities.

Candidate should have good communication skills and be able to work in a team environment. Must have good writing/editing skills, organizational skills, and project skills Candidate should have good computer skills with knowledge of Excel, MS Access, and MS Projects.

Positions will be filled in our ATK Aerospace Systems Group and candidate may be located in Magna, Clearfield or Promontory Utah. Relocation options will be available to qualified candidates. Most positions will be filled as a 12-week internship (from mid to late May until mid to late August 2014).

Job Description and Responsibilities:

In this role, the PepsiCo Learning Intern will:

        Assist with content development or maintenance of HR C and FIN C courses and reinforcement/application support
        Support HR C and FIN C learning programs design, development, and deployment
        Work closely with subject matter experts in functional training programs on training content and delivery.
        Coordinate and manage logistics for instructor-led training programs.
  Assist with HR College (HR C) and Finance College (FIN C) communications to various stakeholders.
        Support implementation of eLearning courses through testing and learning management system gatekeeper responsibilities.
        Assist with reporting of learner satisfaction and impact evaluation
        Develop training completion and metrics reporting.

        Manage PEPnet Communities, and HR/Finance portals
        Research industry best practices and provide information back to team

Job Requirements:

        Strict attention to detail, excellent organization skills, ability to balance numerous tasks and meet tight deadlines
        Knowledge of HR Systems and/or Learning Management systems a plus

        Strong PowerPoint skills

Job Description
The HR Generalist provides support for a variety of human resources activities including routine administration of compensation and benefits, recruiting, employee relations, training, and compliance. The HR Generalist provides support to managers, supervisors, or administrators in all HR practices, and provides information to employees about regulations, and policies, and to provide general support. Assists with policy audits as needed.

Job Essentials:
1. Uses proficiency in data management to enter, extract, compile, interpret, and make recommendations about HR metric data from HR systems. Provides reports for administration, managers and HR Consultants as requested.
2. May monitor and track compliance, conflict of interest, and or mandatory training. 
3. Assists with compensation and other policy audits from the Central Office. Works with HR Consultants, managers, payroll coordinators, and timekeepers to gather data, follow up, and to ensure compliance.
4. Under the direction of the HR Manager or HR Director, may assist with employee engagement activities (such as events, recognition, or diversity) and projects or events inclusive of employee recognition.
5. May assist with job evaluations, recruitment, selection and new hire processes and on-boarding needs, or wage adjustment evaluations.
6. Directs employees on where to gain information on their benefits eligibility and enrollment, and where to resolve benefits discrepancies.
7. May assist with coordinating local training programs. Meets with associated training groups and central office organizational effectiveness team to provide insight and suggestions around improvements.
8. Acts as a back-up for HR Recruiting team as needed with screening, interview calls, reference checks, etc. 

Minimum Requirements 
·         Bachelor's degree or four years of work experience in Human Resources. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
·         Proficiency in computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation skills. Ability to create spreadsheets, presentations, and professional documents.
·         Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
·         Demonstrated skills in diplomacy and discretion with excellent customer relations skills.
·         Ability to manage and complete projects in a timely manner with a high degree of autonomy, organization and adaptability is required.
·         Ability to utilize resources available to maximize efficiency.
