As the HR Generalist, you will provide functional expertise in all areas of Human Resource Management, including but not limited to: turn-over and retention, employee relations, benefits, payroll support, EEO, FMLA, regulatory compliance, coaching and other miscellaneous Human Resource functions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with managers throughout the organization in order to provide consultation and guidance on HR related matters.
  • Develops, maintains and supports a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in development of standard reports for ongoing needs including general employee information and compliance (i.e. Affirmative Action plan). Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data to provide accurate and meaningful data for clients.
  • Handles employee relations matters by working with management team to ensure proper course of action is being taken in order to ensure consistency throughout the assigned business unit.
  • Responsible for sensitive employee relations issues including terminations, exit interviews, unemployment claims and hearings. Keeps HR leadership informed of potential employee relation escalation issues.
  • Educates managers and employees on HR policies, plans, programs, practices, processes and tools.
  • Partners with HR leadership to conduct employee investigations including responses to Ethics Point claims.
  • Plans and delivers New Hire Orientation and leads on-boarding process for new hires.
  • Supports bi-weekly payroll processing by: entering new employees into payroll systems; processing personnel authorization forms for all employment actions (i.e. transfers/promotions, status changes • FT/PT, department/cost center changes, etc.); assisting managers with eTime; and, maintaining employee files.
  • Performs any other duties necessary for successful outcome each pay period.
  • Participates in special projects such as HR related training initiatives and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Conducts exit interviews and assists with transitions during staff reductions.
  • Serves as the backup for other HR functional areas when needed.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

  • Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
  • Able to implement Human Resources initiatives and drive projects to completion.
  • Ability to discreetly handle sensitive information.
  • BS degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum two years progressive Human Resources experience
  • HRIS experience and familiarity with ADP products
  • Experience in conducting HR investigations and facilitating HR related training
  • Knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding Human Resource practices
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Office suite
  • PHR/SPHR Certification, preferred
  • Experience working for a global company, preferred
  • Complete and pass with 80% or better Microsoft Excel Normal User assessment
