Recruiting Assistant (Temporary) at SirsiDynix


Job Description

The Recruiting Assistant is responsible for promoting SirsiDynix and its employment opportunities. The Recruiting Assistant's responsibilities will also include posting jobs, communicating with applicants, updating information in our application system, and scheduling interviews. The ideal candidate is customer service-oriented and has excellent problem-solving skills. We’re seeking an eager individual with a strong willingness to learn. This is a temporary position and is expected to last 3-6 months. However, the person selected for this role would have the opportunity to apply for any internal positions, both in the HR/Recruiting department, as well as other areas within the Company.

What you’ll do

  • Create and maintain job advertisements - very basic HTML skills are helpful, but the right candidate will be able to learn quickly up if you don't have the skills already
  • Schedule interviews and other recruiting appointments – this will involve coordinating phone interviews, interviews for managers in remote offices, as well as reserving conference rooms for recruiting-related needs
  • Be responsible for addressing applicant questions and concerns to ensure all have the best experience possible
  • Represent SirsiDynix at job fairs and other recruiting events

Skills & Requirements

What we’re seeking

  • Superior problem-solving and analytical skills with a desire to learn and grow
  • At least one year of customer service and/or sales experience in a highly interactive role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – this position will involve frequent contact with applicants, hiring managers, and other internal and external parties
