Recruiter with Verizon

Verizon Wireless-Recruiter Opening
This position is responsible for facilitating the full cycle recruiting process for the Customer Service and Retail Sales channels at Verizon Wireless; and for partnering with Hiring Managers, Diversity/College Recruiters and candidates, as appropriate, to ensure quality candidate experience and that top candidates progress through the recruiting process.

Candidate Sourcing: Attends career fairs, college recruiting events, open houses and other community events to establish presence, strengthen Verizon Wireless employment brand, and create fluid, diverse candidate funnel for open positions. Builds strategic relationships with recruiting partners such as colleges/universities and community organizations.

•  Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
•  3+ years Human Resources experience with at least 2 years of High Volume sourcing/recruiting experience required
•  Strong computer skills and ability to utilize HRIS system; PeopleSoft experience preferred; proficiency in Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•  Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
•  Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
•  Bilingual Spanish is a plus
•  Strong interpersonal and networking skills
•  Strong organizational and time-management skills
•  Ability to assess candidates and make critical decisions
•  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•  Facilitation/training skills preferred
•  Exceptional Internet/ Social Media skills are  strongly preferred
•  Ability to work independently and be self-directed required
