HR Assistant at Salt Lake Community Action Program

HR Assistant (internal title HR Office Manager)
Job Title: Human Resources Office Manager
Reports to: Human Resources Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Wage: $11.15 - $14.95 per hour + outstanding benefits

Summary:  Responsible to perform a variety of clerical and record keeping duties; handles confidential material and correspondence for the Human Resources department.

Education/Training/Experience:  High school diploma required, associate degree preferred.  Minimum 2 years prior experience working in high volume office required.  Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Explain and collect new hire paperwork
  • Complete I-9 and E-Verify
  • Copy payroll documents
  • Set up new hires in ABRA and MIP
  • Enter all:
  • Terminations
  • Employee physical, TB, HEP B dates
  • Employee education/certifications
  • Status changes
  • Performance evaluations
  • Disciplinary action
  • Run and distribute routine reports
  • Set up and maintain all employee files
  • Conduct annual file audit
  • Filing
  • Annual driver’s license/auto insurance
  • Verify motor vehicle record as appropriate
  • Manage department mail
  • Send out “welcome back” packets each school year
  • Respond to employment verifications
  • Respond to routine unemployment claims
  • Other Duties as Assigned
