HR Representative at Compass Minerals





TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCES REPRESENTATIVE
LOCATION: Ogden, Utah
ORGANIZATION: Compass Minerals
REPORTS TO: Human Resources Representative
Job Status: Exempt


Summary: This position is responsible for providing Human Resources services and local payroll support for a facility with guidance from Corporate Human Resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide local Human Resources services .e.g., employee relations, employment, etc.
  • Provide recruitment/interview for all Exempt and Non-Exempt positions.
  • Provide support in the implementation of HR initiatives
  • Maintain updated Job Descriptions for facility.
  • Assist employees with benefit questions or other inquiries.
  • Conduct New-Hire Orientation.
  • Conduct and assists with a variety of employee meetings e.g., benefits, orientation, various communication meetings, etc.
  • Create reports on HR related metrics (Labor, Attendance, New Hire, etc...)
  • Be responsible as a backup for Ogden payroll.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and Experience:
2+ years HR experience required,
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience preferred.

Computer Skills:
MS Office
Talent Management/Recruiting Software
HRIS

When and where required, all work environment exposures are reduced to acceptable occupational levels through the distribution and usage of personnel protective equipment.
