PEOPLE & LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT - BENEFITS INTERN (SUMMER 2014 ONLY)


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct research and handle special projects as assigned by Leadership to support the goals and objectives of Benefits initiatives.
  • Organize materials for meetings, presentations or reports.
  • Assist with special projects as requested.
  • Create and maintains databases as needed.
  • Supports the development of Benefits Strategy by creating Excel workbooks for the purpose of financial measurements, analysis, trend data, and projections.
  • Potential projects include, but are not limited to: researching reports, verifying billing, editing written documents, data gathering, etc.
  • Communicate with Internal/External Customers via personal contact, telephone, and written correspondence.
  • Assist with various research and process improvements for Benefits group.


EDUCATION:
  • Progress towards degree in Finance, Accounting, HR Management or Business related major/minor.
  • Minimum sophomore level.
  • Must be a full time student (12 credit hours) to be eligible.
  • Maintained 2.75 or above cumulative GPA.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.)
  • Ability to work independently and the willingness to function as a part of a Team.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Problem solving ability and strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Involvement in campus organizations, clubs, or extracurricular activities preferred.
  • Works well in a culture that is open, direct, respectful, courteous, and compassionate.
  • Previous part-time job or internship experience preferred.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of health benefits preferred.
