Human Resource Intern with Nexeo (Orem, UT)

Job Function: 
Human Resources

Reports to: Vice President Human Resources & Nexeo's HR Generalist

Paid internship available at Nexeo starting in August. The earlier the better, but no later than August 26. It will be part-time (10-15 hours) and can definitely be done during school.  It will be an internship involving unemployment claims and any other parts of HR the student is interested in. They are very flexible with hours and what you work on. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-Perform all necessary research to accurately file all necessary forms and paperwork related to unemployment insurance claims
-Develop and update training and workshop material for both internal and external clients
-Perform essential HR functions related to employee on-boarding, handbook development, policy improvement, etc.
-Keep accurate records to comply with government requirements and reduce liability to Nexeo
-Assist other functions within Nexeo in their responsibilities as needed
-Provide recruiters with insight into which employees to place on jobs
-Assist in employee performance reviews and correction as needed
-Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, skills and abilities:
-Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business management, human resources, or other related fields
-Desire to learn the basic functions of an entry role in human resources
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-High attention to detail
-Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
-Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
-Desire to be an essential part of a team
