Human Resources (HR) Intern Assignments

Human Resources Interns at Lockheed Martin will be placed in a teaming environment where they will work on projects that align with the company’s HR strategy.  Each HR Intern will obtain hands on experience through projects that will be assigned in HR functional areas such as:  Total Rewards and Performance Management; Labor Relations; Talent and Organizational Capability; Diversity, Inclusion, and Equal Opportunity Programs; and Workforce Strategy, Analytics, and Talent Acquisition.   Assignments are based on business needs coupled with the candidate’s education, experience, and career interests.

Eligibility Requirements

We are seeking rising junior and seniors who demonstrate interest and ability to enter the HR field and who are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in HR, labor relations, or business administration with specific coursework in HR.

In addition to above-average academic performance demonstrated by a 3.3 GPA, candidates will be evaluated for:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong project management and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to clearly articulate strong career interest in the field of Human Resources
  • Leadership potential and competencies as evidenced by good citizenship, achievement and involvement in non-academic pursuits such as extracurricular activities, community service, or special projects
  • A security clearance may be necessary for some positions.
HR Internship positions begin in June 2013 in Bethesda, MD, Rockville, MD, Orlando, FL, and Grand Prairie, TX.
