Description

BASIC FUNCTION:

Conduct routine human resources assignments for the HR department under close supervision.

 ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:  (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)

* Audit existing job descriptions for compliance with internal procedures 
* Revise existing job descriptions for formatting issues and assist in the review with applicable manager for compliance purposes 
* Assist in writing new job descriptions 
* Research jobs in compensation surveys, internet, and internally as needed 
* Assists in internal meetings and event planning for corporate initiatives which may include but are not limited to American Heart Association, safety meetings, meet and greets 
* Assists with employee personnel file audit and compliance 
* Assists in recruitment activities and coordination which may include meeting compliance requirements
 
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Requirements

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

Some completed courses needed for a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field with a concentration in the Human Resources field, are required.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

Ability to apply intermediate level clerical and data entry assignments based on pre-established guidelines.  Basic knowledge of human resource management principles and practices, and administrative procedures; proficient with word processing, database, e-mail and spreadsheet applications skills; the ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal; detail oriented; ability to collect, review and organize personnel-related data; ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; intermediate level reading and writing skills
