HR Internship with Sherwin Williams (Fernley, NV)

Job Function:

Human Resources Intern Rate: $12/hr.

The Human Resources Intern requires candidates seeking or holding a Bachelor's Degree. The intern is hosted by the Human Resources Department at one of our manufacturing/distribution facilities.

Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Human Resources Team with:

  • HRIS data entry
  • Maintenance of personnel records
  • Administrative functions such as typing, processing, correspondence, and maintaining general files
  • Presentations
  • Administration and coordination of new employee orientation programs
  • Responses to employee inquiries and questions
  • Special projects as identified by the HR Manager Please note that we do not provide housing

Basic Qualifications:

  • Actively enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree Program
  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior Class Standing
  • Minimum GPA of a 2.8
  • Willingness to consent to a background check and a drug screen
  • Have the legal right to work in the United States
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)

Other Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an interest in building relationships and working with a wide variety of people across functional areas
  • Computer skills
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills
  • Results oriented
  • Willingness to relocate upon graduation
