Georgia-Pacific has an HR Associate opportunity at our San Leandro, CA, Gypsum Paper Mill. As an HR Associate, you will complete a 12 – 24 month training and development plan, which includes: hiring systems and processes, labor relations, affirmative action, compensation, benefits, and other core HR functions. You are expected to demonstrate a high sense of urgency and initiative to support and learn from a team of human resources professionals.
HR Associates spend approximately 12 -24 months at a field location or the Atlanta corporate headquarters while completing the development plan. Following the completion of the development plan, you will be qualified to work within the manufacturing locations as an HR professional or manager and will be expected to relocate.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Psychology, Business, Communications, or Human Resources
• Minimum 3.0 GPA required
• Related co-op or internship experience in human resources
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Superior communication skills both oral and written
