HR Internship with SeaWorld (Orlando, FL)

Spring 2013 HR Internship
Human Resources experience preferred
February 4, 2013 - April 26, 2013

Program Requirements

  • Must be seeking a four-year degree or Master’s degree at an accredited college/university
  • Must have completed at least one year at a college/university at time of application
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA at time of application
  • Must have at least 4 days of open availability with one day being a weekend day
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Attention to detail
Requirements and Competencies
  • Must be in pursuit of a degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Must have at least 1 year customer service experience
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be able to multi-task and adapt to changes in a fast paced work environment
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e. be able to work opening and closing shifts
Desired Qualifications
Primary Responsibilities
  • Pre-screen potential applicants and conduct structured interviews to make hiring decisions for frontline and entry level positions
  • Assist internal and external customers by answering questions and directing to appropriate personnel as needed
  • Represent the park at local, high school and college career fairs as needed
  • Serve as a principle liaison between park management and Human Resources to develop strategies and plans to meet their needs
  • Frequent data entry and file maintenance

Pay Rate Information
Pay Rate: Starts at $10.00/hr. and increases based on credit hours earned as of Summer 2012 semester
