 Job Description
The HR Consultant works under the guidance of an HR Director (or designee) to provide support, facilitation and strategic direction to management and employees in the areas of compliance, data management, organizational development and compensation, benefits, recruitment, data management, employee relations and organizational development and effectiveness within a specified portfolio in the region / facility / business unit.

 Job Essentials:
  • Provides key coordination and facilitation support for organizational development and effectiveness offerings, compliance and required education data management and reporting.
  • Partners with applicable HR Consultants or HR Leadership in the following areas, including but not limited to: affirmative action reporting, constructive disciplinary actions, fitness for duty, employee relations, unemployment hearings, freedom from harassment situations, and conflict resolution.
  • Acts as a business partner with managers and employees by listening to issues/concerns, relaying information and making recommendations to Leadership regarding employee issues, job design and organizational structure or to improve employee engagement.
  • Under the direction of the HR Consultant or HR Director, may assist with employee engagement activities (such as events, recognition, or diversity) and projects or events inclusive of employee recognition.
  • Training and Employee Engagement: Assists with employee development and engagement by supporting training and development programs, and recognition programs and initiatives.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Assists with compensation and benefit functions as directed, including but not limited to job descriptions, job evaluations, and audits.
  • Employment: Facilitates orientation and on boarding as needed. Advises recruiters in pay offers as needed.
  • Decision Support/Data Management: Demonstrates advanced proficiency in data management and ability to enter, extract, compile and interpret HR Metric data from applicable HR Systems for analysis and reports for appropriate groups (such as human resources or leadership).
  • Special Projects: Assists with programs and activities, which impact the employee environment in assigned service lines. Examples include task forces, presentations, surveys, training, strategic planning, problem solving, organizational effectiveness, and coaching. May complete and follow-up on affirmative action plans as directed

Minimum Requirements
  • At least three years of professional Human Resources experience
  • Prior Human Resources experience must include functional experience in one of the following HR disciplines: employee relations; compensation / benefit administration; training / development; or employment / recruiting
  • Firm understanding of human resource related laws and regulations
  • Excellent computer skills including email, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, database management and reporting
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, Intermountain will verify upon hire
 Physical Requirements
  • Hearing, listening, manual dexterity, seeing
 Preferred Qualifications
  • Five or more years of professional HR experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field such as business administration
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification
  • Knowledge of Human Resources systems, database applications, talent management systems, and file scanning applications
  • Human Resources experience in a health care setting
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking
