Microsoft offers a challenging internship opportunity for top HR talent.  This 12 week program is thoughtfully designed to provide interns with strategic projects, exposure to company leadership, and an extended opportunity to partner with the businesses in Microsoft’s unique culture.  As a member of Microsoft HR, your projects will enable you to impact the business directly.

Flexible Assignment:
The program is very flexible and enables an intern to have a rich, self-directed experience.  As an intern in the HR Trax Program, you will be assigned to one of the following areas:  employee relations, compensation, benefits, staffing/recruiting, leadership and management development, diversity, or organizational development.  Mentoring and feedback are consistently provided throughout the summer to ensure you receive the most valuable experience.

Location:
Microsoft’s Corporate Headquarters are located in Redmond, WA, which is 10 miles east of Seattle.  All HR Trax Internships are offered at this location in one of its many businesses, spanning a variety organizational lifecycles.

Qualifications:
  • Strong business acumen and professional confidence
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, coupled with the ability to both negotiate and persuade others
  • Skills in partnering with business leaders to realize employee value
  • Passion for technology 
  • Ability to multi-task, deal with ambiguity, and work in a team environment
  • Ability to recognize trends and identify systematic approaches to solving problems in a fast moving, dynamic environment
  • Work experience in the field of HR is strongly preferred
  • BS/BA degree required, MBA or MA in HR-related field strongly preferred
