MyHR Intern with eBay (Salt Lake City, UT)

Description: 
Interns assigned to the MyHR Regional Center will work with experienced HR professionals as part of the Global HR Shared Services Organization (MyHR) at eBay.  The America’s Regional Center, located in Salt Lake City, UT interacts with employees at all levels of the organization in support of key processes and programs, and liaises with Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, etc.) HR Business Partners, and Legal Counsel to resolve complex issues.  HR professionals within MyHR are responsible for managing many significant aspects and processes associated with the employee lifecycle from initial hire through termination/retirement.  Examples include:
  • Employee Relations
  • Disability / LOA Management
  • Worker’s Compensation
  • Work Authorization Compliance
  • On-boarding Administration
  • Outplacement
  • Unemployment
  • Mergers and Acquisition Integration
  • Exit Interviews
  • HR Reporting & Analytics 

During the assignment with MyHR, intern(s) will have the opportunity to learn basic to advanced practices associated with a world-class centralized HR Shared Services organization, with a focus on developing fundamental leadership skills and competencies.  As part of the internship, he/she will participate/lead an initiative or project aligned with one, or more processes supported by the operation. 

Job Requirements:
Interns assigned to the MyHR Regional Center will be expected to demonstrate the following:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • You must be currently matriculating within a degree program and in good academic standing.  A degree program within Human Resources, Business Management, Information Systems, or Pre-Law, is preferred, but not required.
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • At least sophomore status – students in a Master’s program are also eligible.
  • 40 hours per week for 12 weeks
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
