HR Intern with the city of Idaho Falls

Job Summary: The City of Idaho Falls is accepting applications for the position of Human Resources (HR) Intern. This temporary position, working under the direct supervision of the City of Idaho Falls Human Resources team, provides quality HR project and administrative support on a part-time basis to the City of Idaho Falls employees through a variety of projects and daily tasks. This position will work approximately 15 hours per week May - August 2012. This position is primarily project-based. The following are examples of content areas for projects that the Intern may be involved in: * Training and Development * Workforce Analysis * Employee Wellness Campaign Final assignment: Deliver a 10-20 minute presentation and short paper at end of internship presenting results and/or recommendations from one of the assigned projects. Other duties may be assigned. 

Job Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a college program for Business, Human Resources, Public Administration or a closely related field, or have recently graduated from such a program AND Have completed at least 1 year of college coursework related to Human Resources. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of job responsibilities; excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to quickly establish and maintain effective working relationships; ability to abide by City of Idaho Falls policies; sufficient problem solving skills to accomplish duties and make judgements regarding specific assigned work. Final candidate may be subject to a background check.
