Position Summary:

This position provides support, assistance and analysis in the areas of human resources (benefits, compensation, employee relations, employment, recruitment, and training). The incumbent assists in providing support to hospital departments. Works as a team member in determining departmental needs and serves as a resource for departments regarding human resource and training functions.

This position is not responsible for providing care to patients.

Essential Functions:

- Maintains confidentiality when working with employee files and sensitive information.
- Assists in developing, preparing and updating human resource transactions and reports.
- Works in collaboration with consultants, analysts, and other human resource specialists to complete daily tasks and projects in a professional and responsive manner.
- Provides general office support such as greeting and directing visitors, handling incoming phone calls, and may be responsible for coordinating travel arrangements and ordering supplies.
- Maintains data in human resources information systems.
- Assists applicants and employees in system processes.
- May be responsible for payroll and timekeeping responsibilities.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
- Understanding of human resource procedures, practices, policies and laws.
- Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills.
- The incumbent is required to respond and manage sensitive and confidential situations in a professional manner.
- Representative challenges encountered by this position include appropriately handling controversial or sensitive employee relation issues and dealing with applicants.
- The incumbent is required to remain current on new and changing human resource laws and ensures compliance with human resource policy, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to prioritize tasks received from multiple staff members and determines the order of importance.
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment, multi task requests, and adapt quickly to process and procedures.

Administer staffing/employment/recruiting programs. 
Work with hiring manager to document requirements of job openings, as required, opening requisitions(s). Determine appropriate recruiting sources for advertising and posting positions. Pre-screen resumes and coordinates with hiring managers to schedule interviews. Document candidate evaluation and interview process. Negotiates and/or supports hiring manager in developing new hire compensation package/offers. Coordinate on-boarding process for new hires including gathering paperwork, ensuring successful completion of pre-employment testing and scheduling new hire orientation. May develop, support and maintain college recruiting, affirmative action and career development programs.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manages daily activities of functional team members to ensure delivery of optimal service, client satisfaction, retention, and profitability.

  • Oversight of Clarify reporting as it relates to managing customer accounts.
  • Through a combination of on the job and formal training curriculum, develops people management/leadership skills, project management skills, and client relationship management skills, particularly in the area of needs analysis and sr. management presentation skills.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 3 years of related implementation, project management, account management or operational experience with benefits, HR, payroll, HRIS and/or system implementation.
  • Experience in client service with demonstrated ability to provide exceptional client satisfaction and work cross-functionally and influence at every organization level.
  • Ability to prioritize critical client issues.
  • Able to manage time and client conflict resolution.
  • Able to analyze and bring resolution to complex system and processing issues.
  • Able to identify, diagnose and resolve issues affecting client service.
  • Understands the architecture/structure of the system.
  • Able to communicate complex issues and resolutions by using concise language.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree or equivalent in education and experience
