RTCRM is currently seeking a talented Human Resources Intern (unpaid) to join our HR team in our Washington, DC office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Support HR team in developing employee surveys, recruiting projects, employee recognition & training programs
  • May maintain company Intranet: write or collect content, organize information, recommend edits, additions, and archive
  • Assist in planning employee events
  • Assist HR staff in compiling data & reports
  • Other duties may be assigned
Minimum Experience & Other Requirements
  • Currently enrolled degree-seeking student in HR or Business-related program
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Outstanding oral & written communication skills, presentation skills a plus
  • Superior attention to detail; strong organizational/planning/program/project management skills
  • Customer service approach to solving problems; strong follow-through is essential
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, dependable & proactive attitude
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within a team environment
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism

Overall Purpose:

Essential Job Functions:
  • Handle on-boarding new hires, including offer letters, start day, background checks and new hire paperwork
  • Oversee weekly new hire orientation
  • Support companywide HR initiatives, such as safety training, newsletter, and performance reviews
  • Compose and distribute written correspondence from human resources
  • Assist the HR Business Partner team  with department specific projects
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal employee events and perks
  • Continually review and find ways to improve internal HR processes


Requirements:
  • Academic or 1+ year(s) experience
  • College degree (major or coursework in HR preferred)
  • Interest in the HR field…and we prefer if the HR stood for Human Resources
  • Demonstration of strong organizational skills (i.e. proof of prior projects)
  • Ability to present to large number of employees (50+) and interact with employees at all levels

HR intern/training for HR Director role with Pilkington Metal Finishing - SLC, UT



A Salt Lake City company in the Metal Finishing industry is seeking an intern or part-time Human Resources Assistant who would like to pursue a permanent, full-time position in the Human Resources field. Assistant would be shadowing the Human Resources director of the Company for one semester (January through May). During that time, Assistant will be trained and evaluated in preparation for an advanced position. Responsibilities will include participating in hiring, training, safety, and employee development processes, as well as administrative duties, such as completing paperwork, creating spreadsheets, and any other duties assigned by management.

Starting wage is $12 per hour as Assistant. HR Director salary is $35,000-45,000 per year.

Schedule may be flexible, between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm.

Candidate must be fluent in English; Spanish and Vietnamese language abilities are a plus. Education and/or experience in business, human resources, administration, or manufacturing-type industries is desired. Must be able to work quickly and well under pressure, keep excellent organization of paperwork, good at keeping deadlines, and able to communicate effectively in person and in writing. Must also have at least 2 years completed of college education.
